- Motorist Assistance Program - State Representative Austin Badon worked to secure a state contract for the Department of Transportation and Development's Motorist Assistance Program. The program will help by providing gas, changing flat tires, filling radiators, or providing the use of a cellular phone for stranded motorists on I-10 between Bullard Avenue and the Superdome exit.
- Representative Austin Badon would like to thank Levee Board Police Chief Richard Lewis and his officers for granting our Representative's request that they patrol the Lake Forest Plaza during the 2004 Christmas season. "People really felt a sense of security as they shopped in the Plaza because of the presence of added officers from the Levee Board Police Department," Representative Badon said.

- Fulfilled Campaign Promise - As State Representative, Austin Badon pledged to maintain an open line of communication and he has done just that. Austin Badon has held quarterly townhall meetings and he has also delivered on his promise to have quarterly newsletters disseminated through the New Orleans East World Magazine.
- Free Gun Locks - Starting September 27, 2004, State Representative Austin Badon, Jr. is giving away a total of 300 gun locks to the public. The easy-to-install gun locks could be used on many types of firearms, including revolvers, semi-automatic handguns, shotguns, and rifles.
- Helping our Neighbors in Florida - Representative Austin Badon and several members of the New Orleans East hotel industry announced that New Orleans East hotel rooms would be available to Florida residents at discounted rates during hurricanes. Also, guests will be allowed to bring their pets into the hotels.
- Fulfilled Campaign Promise - Based upon his request, State Representative Austin Badon has received documentation that the Louisiana State Police and the Department of Weights and Standards will conduct patrols from the High-Rise to the I-10 Twin Spans.
- Austin Badon received approval from the RTA that a shelter will be installed above the bus stand on Haynes, which mostly serves the residents of Nazareth Inn.
- Austin Badon received authorization from the RTA, that senior citizens may ride free of charge from Nazareth Inn to the Intersection of Haynes and Paris, thus allowing them to get out of the elements while awaiting bus service towards Downman.
- State Representative Austin Badon received word from Eastover that the property on Bullard overlooking the golf course will be beautified since he had the problem bus stop moved to better serve the students of Fannie C. Williams Middle School.
- As a Representative, Austin Badon conducted the first quarterly Town Hall meeting in February, 2004 at the Read Library and scheduled the next quarterly Town Hall meeting - July 10, 2004 at 6:30pm.
- Representative Austin Badon requested that the Sewerage and Water Board install barricades on their drainage canals to prevent unauthorized entry to the criminal elements that have been burglarizing homes and vehicles along these canals in the Lake Bullard, Louis Prima and Lake Forest Estates subdivisions.
- Fulfilled Campaign Promise - District 100 Representative Austin Badon established a partnership with the Orleans Criminal Sheriff's Department to beautify I-10. Based upon this partnership, the fence line between the service road and I-10 from Read to Bullard on the Plaza side has been cleared. Work has begun on the fence line between Bullard and 5-10 in front of IHOP.
- Austin Badon scheduled a series of seminars to address some of our community needs; for example, Domestic Violence, How to Make your Home and Neighborhood Safe and Youth Gang Violence and Parental Intervention.
